The ACA-E5 is an advanced eight-zone, twelve-source multiroom controller amplifier with an internal AM/FM tuner. With an advanced feature set, the ACA-E5 represents the latest in technology from the #1 brand in multiroom audio.

12 audio-video inputs
Each of the 12 source inputs of the ACA-E5 includes RCA connections for stereo audio and composite video.

Source inputs 1 and 2 feature RNET A/V inputs that allow direct connection of RNET^® Smart sources such as the iBridge^® Dock or connection of remotely located sources such as satellite or cable television boxes, or DVD players. RNET A/V inputs use CAT-5e cable, allowing for sources to be located up to 300 feet (91 m) from the ACA-E5.

Source input 11 includes an internal expansion slot for radio modules, such as the AM/FM Radio Module, XM^® Satellite Radio Module, or the SIRIUS Satellite Radio Module. If a radio module is not used, this input functions as a regular audio-video source input.

Source input 12 is an internal AM/FM tuner. If the radio tuner is not used, this input can be programmed as a regular audio-video source input.

8 distribution zones
Zones 1 through 6 feature high-current two-channel digital amplifiers with 40 watts per channel output along with line-level outputs. Zones 7 and 8 offer only fixed or variable line-level outputs. These zones work well for larger areas that require additional amplification, or for zones that have an existing amplifier, such as a home theater.

In addition to the eight zones of output, the ACA-E5 provides two solutions for system expansion through subzones. Included with each zone is an RNET A/V output, which allows audio and video signals to be distributed up to 300 feet (91 m) on CAT-5e cable to a remote location. From there, an additional amplifier and volume control can be added to create a system subzone. Also available are optional, field-installable A-BUS^® subzone modules with four zones each. The zones in the A-BUS modules correspond to individual zones of the ACA-E5. If system expansion through subzones doesn’t meet the needs of the designer, multiple ACA-E5 controller amplifiers can be linked together to provide coverage for up to 48 zones.

Along with increased flexibility of source inputs and zone distribution, the ACA-E5 also has enhanced features to increase the functionality of a multiroom controller amplifier.
